Clutchers Field 2018 Renovations
Renovations are complete! Presenting the revamped Clutchers Field LEGO Baseball Park! Let’s look at some of the changes. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/tzK8JPFhjv— Steven Schapansky (@Legopolis) July 5, 2018
The major difference is the new left field grandstand. The previous version (R) wasn’t structurally sound and needed replacing. The new grandstand (L) is much more sturdy and has roughly the same amount of seats. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/78bcD6FHJE

Now there’s a new train stop at the park, incorporating an actual LEGO transit station into the infrastructure. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/yGtRWPrE64

The station is tucked under the new grandstand, the outer exterior of which has a tan facade to match the exterior of the original portion of the stadium. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/lpyLXTu4Iv

A new feature replacing the old Clutchers Hall of Fame behind center field is a patio and restaurant, including a statue of legendary Clutchers third baseman Bricks Robinson. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/IqkJ3xCb75

Behold the new left field entrance to Clutchers Field! Escalators take fans up to the new loge seating and fan deck areas. A new chandelier inside helps light the way. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/qgv6MVq2jT

Here’s a look at the new fan deck, where fans can watch the game while enjoying a pizza and a beverage. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/13rrsqf2p7

A closer look at the new double decker grandstand, which is raised above the outfield wall for better sightlines. Along the buffer wall are the Clutchers’ retired numbers and championship pennants. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/w49tiWLlNj

Not a bad view, right? #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/t3JbnXOIr7

The center field wall and batter’s eye also gets a refresh. The center field camera positions are a little higher, actual trees and foliage lend some greenery to the view, and the sharp corner in dead center that used to thwart fielders is now gone. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/zFspMJipP3

Some @MLB teams have brought back bullpen carts this season, and Clutchers Field is doing the same, offering relief pitchers a speedier trip to the mound. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/BE2WEHNfpJ

With the new patio seating in center field, the existing patio and restaurant were converted into a new TV studio and game presentation video control room. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/l0XRnM8GB2

The safety netting behind home plate has also been changed and extended, compared to the previous version. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/9H0cpIiHt7

The second level has been raised, allowing room for structural support and other amenities, including bathrooms! #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/W01Z0kSReJ

The raised upper deck not only allows for better sightlines for the existing private boxes, but it also makes room for a new level of private suites. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/I0ZITjUdsC

The broadcast booth that once sat underneath the main press box has been merged with the press box. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/JFc4PqwcMr

The main entrance has also been given a refresh, with a glass wall and pillars replacing the old red wall (and rickety supports) of the old version. #legobaseball pic.twitter.com/5La5qF87w3

Clutchers Field
Hello and welcome to Clutchers Field, a LEGO baseball park designed and created by me, Steven Schapansky. There will be more to this page later, but for now, please have a look through the many photos of the park through the various stages of its construction, as well as a look into the many little touches that I think would make Clutchers Field a great place to watch a ball game.
